Partners for Workplace Diversity is a cooperative effort among organizations in the Valley to develop responses to diversity issues in area workplaces. Representatives from the founding Partners spent 1996 & 1997 planning a series of half-day workshops that provided a common educational base for understanding workplace diversity issues in general and as they reflect themselves in this region. More than one hundred members of the partnering organizations attended the workshops, creating a network of individuals who have discussed diversity issues and who can serve as resources for their organizations and for the partnership as it continues to develop initiatives.
