The Williamson College of Business Administration’s Center of International Business with support from the Ohio Development Services Agency (ODSA), has launched the Ohio Export Internship Program. Nine students were selected to complete a specialized exporting course and then placed in full-time paid internships with nine companies in Ohio. The YSU/Williamson College of Business Administration and the OSU/Fisher School of Business are the only two Ohio public universities to be part of this program.
Students were recruited during 2014 Fall Semester, completed specialized coursework during the Spring 2015 Semester, and accepted a guaranteed internship with nine Ohio exporting companies in May. The internships will run the first week of May through the first week of August, not to exceed 480 hours. The ODSA will allocate funding to YSU to reimburse companies at the end of the program up to 50% or $3,600.
