Welcome to the web site of the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Our office provides overall leadership and coordination for academic departments and programs, colleges, accreditation, assessment, general education, the library, research, and international programs. In partnership with faculty and staff, we coordinate faculty recruitment, academic program development and review, and University public-service programs and activities.
As noted in the University's vision statement, Youngstown State University aspires to "become a national model for University-community engagement that enhances teaching and learning, student and faculty research, and community well-being." As we develop and implement plans for academic affairs of the University, that aspiration serves as our constant goal.
