The Festival of Nations is a delightful reminder that the Mahoning Valley is comprised of numerous ethnicities and cultures. Each group brings its own heritage and customs, showcased in the area on campus bordered by Maag Library, Ward Beecher Planetarium and The Butler Institute of American Art. Whether through information and memorabilia, a performance or incredible ethnic food, the Festival of Nations is not to be missed. If your ethnic group would like to be a part of the Festival of Nations please email Lori A. Factor.
As part of the Summer Festival of the Arts, July 9 and 10, 28 ethnic groups will participate in the Festival of Nations. Located near Maag Library, this component of the Summer Festival acknowledges the many different ethnicities which comprise the Mahoning Valley and offers various church groups and ethnic clubs the chance to set up a booth or provide a performance. Some groups will sell a variety of ethnic foods.
Please note that groups must be affiliated with a church, synagogue, place of worship or registered ethnic organization to be considered for the limited space available.
