Their success is our story
College in High School (CHS) is a dual enrollment program for academically qualified high school juniors and seniors. Students earn college credit while taking classes in high school, without leaving their school district. CHS can shorten the time it takes to earn a degree and provide significant savings on tuition.
The school district provides the instructor, classroom and books, and pays a flat fee of $49 per credit hour to YSU. This fee includes:
- Tuition for the students who earn college credit
- University faculty costs
- Planning costs
- CHS orientation
- Placement testing as needed (to all participating students)
- Roundtable meetings for high school teachers
- YSU faculty liaison for high school teachers
