EOHS interfaces with the academic areas on campus by providing laboratory support to the Departments of Biological Sciences, Allied Health Professions, and the Center for Environmental Studies. EOHS maintains a stock culture collection of bacteria and other microorganisms used in teaching and research laboratories. The department also prepares media, stains, and reagents used in student microbiology and related laboratories. Many other departments across campus routinely use EOHS for the preparation of laboratory materials related to the field of microbiology.
