Donald W. Byo, bassoon, studied with William Polisi and holds degrees from Youngstown State University (B.M.) and Kent State University (M.M.). He has held the position of dean or director of the Dana School of Music from 1968 to 1990. A charter memberof the Dana Wind Quintet, Mr. Byo performs with the quintet and he also serves as principal bassoonist of the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra. He teaches bassoon at the Dana School of Music and is the co-director of the W.D. Packard Concert Band
