Paul Sracic is Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science and Rigelhaupt Pre-Law Center at Youngstown State University in Ohio. He is a former Fulbright Lecturer in Japan, teaching at The University of Tokyo and at Sophia University. Dr. Sracic holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University, and an A.B. in Political Science and Economics from Albright College. His most recent book, San Antonio v. Rodriguez and the Pursuit of Equal Education was part of a series that was given the Scribes Award for legal scholarship at the 2008 meeting of the American Bar Association. Professor Sracic’s next book, Youngstown Sheet and Tube v. Sawyer: Labor, War, and the Presidency, is forthcoming from the University Press of Kansas.
Dr. Sracic often serves as a political commentator for the U.S. media. He is a frequent guest on international, national, and regional television and radio shows. Dr. Sracic has been interviewed by CNN, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Reuters, and Le Monde. His opinion columns have appeared in The Washington Post, USA Today and CNN.com.
He resides in Boardman, Ohio with his wife Susan and their two daughters.
