The Beeghly College of Education at Youngstown State University is sponsoring the 11th Annual Educational Research Exchange (ERE) to be held on Friday April 18, 2014.
The ERE is an annual mini-conference that provides an opportunity for students to share their research endeavors in a collegial atmosphere. This year’s conference is sponsored by Youngstown State University, and supported by Cleveland State University, Kent State University, and the University of Akron. Conference events will take place in Youngstown State University, Kilcawley Center from approximately 7:30 am—2:30 pm and will include breakfast, refreshments, and lunch. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m., and the conference speakers will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and please check-in at the registration table by 7:50 a.m.
The primary objective of the conference is to provide a learning environment where students can gain professional skills and experiences in presenting their research. Through this exchange, students will be able to build professional relationships with other students and faculty, and gain experience with conference presentation. Please encourage students to submit proposals for the conference regardless of their level of prior skill and research experience. ERE is designed to get students and faculty across universities talking, sharing and learning from each other in a supportive and non-threatening environment. Register for the conference by April 11, 2014.
Students will benefit more from the conference if a large number of faculty members are able to attend and participate, so we are looking for your support as well. Faculty may decide to chair a session, be a discussant, or attend to give support to students—all of which are important components of conference participation. Through a broad base of faculty support, students will see the various positions and functions necessary for a successful conference.
If you have any questions or would like further information, please feel free to email Dr. Karen Larwin at khlarwin AT ysu DOT edu, 2014 ERE Conference Planning Chair or the ERE committee member from your university. We look forward to seeing you at the 11th Annual ERE Conference at Youngstown State University on April 18, 2014.
