Welcome home and to the Office of Veterans Affairs at Youngstown State University.
The Office of Veteran Affairs (OVA) was established January, 2009 in the Student Affairs Division and reports directly to the Vice President of Student Affairs. The OVA will assist YSU students who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces of the United States of America in attaining their educational goals.
Through this web site we ask for you to take part in the formation of this new endeavor by helping us shape the mission. Contact us with your ideas and concerns. You can do this by visiting us in Tod Hall, room 310A, phoning (330) 941-2503 or e-mailing us at Veterans AT ysu DOT edu.
The OVA has formed a nine-member representative advisory council made up of students, faculty, community, staff and board of trustee’s members. The council’s duty is to support, advise and assist the university through the OVA in addressing the needs and issues of current students with active duty military experience.
On behalf of all of us in the Office of Veterans Affairs, the Advisory Council, and Student Affairs, we thank you for your service and hope to hear from you.
“Serving those who served and are serving.”
