A detailed discussion of the moon and planets, with particular emphasis on the geology of the moon. Prereq.: ASTRO 1504 or GEOL 1505. 3 s.h. Upper-Division Courses 3711, 3712. Astrophysics I, 2. The application of physical principles to the study of the stars and planets; stellar distances and dimensions; stellar spectra and chemical composition; nuclear reactions and evolution of stars; the Milky Way and other galaxies; cosmology.
