DR. DAVID S. PORTER
Professor
Dr. Porter received his B.S. in 1975 from Grand Valley State College. After working for four years, he returned to Grand Valley for his MPA in 1981, and continued his studies at Michigan State University, receiving an M.A. in 1984, and his PhD in 1987.
Dr. Porter's areas of interest include political development, democratization, international organizations, and research methodologies. Since joining YSU, Dr. Porter has published a book on US Foreign Aid Policy, Garland Publishing, and contributed a Chapter on US Foreign Aid Policy in the book entitled International Science and Technology Philosophy, Theory and Policy, St. Martin’s Press.
