The Department of Theater and Dance is an accredited performing arts educational unit, located in a degree-granting, full-service state university.  We offer three baccalaureate majors in Theater, and one interdisciplinary major in Dance.  Our programs are performance-based, with the twin goals of producing competent practicioners of these arts, and enriching the cultural life of our entire service area.  

We ascribe to the notion that the performing arts have the power to bring people together, and to provide fuel for both the spirit and the mind.  Stated another way, we see service to the arts of theater and dance, AND service to the community of which we are a part, as the double mandates which govern our daily operations.
