  1. American Counseling Association (ACA) - The national professional association for all professional counselors.

  2. Ohio Counseling Association (OCA) - Ohio’s state division of the American Counseling Association.  Its mission is to promote and advance the profession of counseling in Ohio.

  3. National Mental Health Information Center - Substance abuse and mental health services administration (SAMHSA) health network that provides information on mental illness.

  4. National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) - NAMI is an advocacy group dedicated to supporting those affected by mental illness.
  5. National Mental Health America (NMHA) -  DDedicated in promoting the knowledge of the general public about the realities of mental health and mental illness through advocacy and research.
  6. National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) - NIMH hopes to transform the way mental illness is thought about through research, education, and advocacy.
  7. American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) - The American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) mission is to enhance the profession of clinical mental health by connecting clinicians nationwide.
  8. Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA) -  Pennsylvania’s professional counseling organization (provides requirements for licensure in Pennsylvania)
