The Williamson Symposium was established at Youngstown State University in 1981 through an endowment fund provided by the Warren P. Williamson, Jr. family.

The Williamson Symposium is an “executive on campus” program designed to bring nationally recognized business leaders and business scholars to campus.  Presentations focus on business trends and specific strategic issues related to the field of business. These guest speakers make a valuable contribution to our students’ educations by sharing their time and expertise with the YSU community. This “executive on campus” program provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and opportunities to profile our successful alumni. During their visit to campus, speakers meet with undergraduate and graduate classes, conduct faculty workshops, and give a presentation at a breakfast or luncheon that is open to the public and the regional business community. Speakers are recognized as Williamson Fellows during their visit to the YSU campus.
