 Meet Dean Charles L. Howell

 
DR. CHARLES L. HOWELL
 
Dean of the Beeghly College of Education
 
Charles L. Howell, a former elementary teacher, has served in faculty and leadership positions at several institutions, most recently as department chair at Northern Illinois University. Dr. Howell received his B.S. Ed. from Georgia State University, a Master of Fine Arts from the Writers’ Workshop at the University of Iowa, and a Ph.D. in Cultural Foundations of Education from Syracuse University. Trained as a philosopher of education, Dr. Howell writes about the ethics and politics of educational institutions.
