Students are usually admitted to the ISE program upon successfully completing the First-Year Engineering Program. A full-time faculty, with the support of a full-time Administrative Assistant and a part-time Academic Advisor, coordinates the First-Year Engineering Program. The First-Year Engineering Program advisor evaluates the student for eligibility to declare a major. Required prerequisite courses and academic performance levels must be met in accordance with the policies of the College of Engineering and Technology. The declaration of the ISE major by an eligible student results in transfer of all advisement records from the First-Year Engineering Program offices to the offices of the ISE program. These students will have completed ENGR 1550, ENGR 1560, ENG 1550, Math 1571 and CHEM 1515 with a grade of C or better.
