YSU Structure & Instrumentation Facility

Our Goal

The YSU Structure & Chemical Instrumentation Facility, directed by Prof. Allen D. Hunter, houses three single crystal and one (soon two) powder X-ray diffractometer, two 400 MHz NMR spectrometers, several mass spectrometers and a variety of other instrumentation. Its goal is to serve the educational and research needs of the students and faculty at Youngstown State University and at collaborating regional colleges.

Access to our Facility

We also offer access to our NMR and X-Ray diffraction facilities for the larger American academic community and regional corporations on a time available basis.
