Fall 2011

• Samuel Mutinda, a graduate student of Dr. Ruigang Wang was offered a Travel Grant to attend the Heat Treat Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio.
• The Chemistry Department will receive the "Dean's Award" for productivity in receiving external research funding at the annual YSU Research Luncheon on November 9th.

• Bill Reed, graduate student in the department of chemistry,  was accepted in to the National School on Neutron and X-ray Scattering Argonne National Laboratory, Argonne, IL  and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, TN.  Only 67 students nationwide were chosen out of hundreds of applicants.  Congratulations Bill!
