The Association of Family and Consumer Students (AFACS) provides professional development and networking opportunities for students interested in careers relating to children, families, and consumers. This organization is designed to meet the needs of students majoring in Family and Consumer Studies or Family and Consumer Sciences Education, but membership is not limited. Any student with an interest is welcome. Dues are $7.00 per semester. Benefits of membership include informative meetings with guest speakers, opportunities to attend state and national conferences of the Ohio and American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, networking among faculty and students, and service learning projects.
