The Ohio SBDC at YSU helps you plan, compete and succeed in today’s business world.

To be successful in today’s competitive environment, business owners and managers must have knowledge and experience in many areas. Some of these include market development, strategic planning, financial analysis, e-business, management skills, industry analysis and government regulations, as well as day to day business operations.

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) program is the most comprehensive and effective business assistance network in the nation. Its purpose is to help existing businesses develop and retain a competitive advantage in the ever-changing global economy, and to help entrepreneurs realize their dream of business ownership. SBDCs enhance economic development throughout the region, the state of Ohio and the country.

Locally, the Ohio SBDC program is a partnership of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Youngstown State University and the Ohio Department of Development. The Center serves residents of Ashtabula, Mahoning and Trumbull Counties. Its mission is to provide professional, in-depth consulting and training to existing and new business ventures, and to foster a strong and successful business community.

Export assistance is available through The Ohio SBDC Export Assistance Network. Learn more here.
