 About the Strategic Plan
In summer 2010, YSU President Cynthia E. Anderson convened a 52-member steering committee--chaired by Provost Ikram Khawaja and Vice President for Finance and Administration Eugene Grilli--to develop a strategic plan to lead the university to the year 2020. The committee consisted of YSU trustees, administrators, faculty, staff, and students, as well as members of the community.
The plan, approved in December 2010, addresses four cornerstones: Accountability and Sustainability, Student Success, the Urban Research University Transition, and Regional Engagement.
